Connecting Telegram
Overview
Repute AI runs as a Telegram Mini App — accessed directly inside Telegram via the app interface. Authentication uses the official Telegram Login Widget, which verifies your Telegram identity without sharing private data.
Step-by-Step
Step 1: Open the Repute AI Mini App
Launch the Repute AI Mini App via the official Telegram link or by opening it from the Repute AI bot.
The app opens as a full-screen Mini App inside Telegram on mobile, or in the web interface on desktop.
Step 2: Authenticate via Telegram Login Widget
The login screen presents the official Telegram Login Widget. Click Log in with Telegram.
Telegram will verify your identity and return a signed authentication token to Repute AI. This process:
- Does not expose your phone number to Repute AI
- Does not grant access to your private messages
- Does not allow Repute AI to send messages on your behalf
Your Telegram user ID and display name are shared to create your Repute identity.
Step 3: Authorize Public Data Access
After authentication, you will see a permissions screen. Repute AI requests authorization to analyze public Telegram channels associated with your identity:
- Public channels you own or administrate
- Public creator activity visible from your profile
Only public data is analyzed. Private messages, private groups, and personal chats are never accessed.
Step 4: Dashboard Loads
After authorization, the Repute AI dashboard loads with:
- Your Repute identity (Telegram handle, REP score if established, tier)
- The Mindshare Arena (public channel rankings)
- Your signal feed
- Channel management (if you own channels)
Privacy Note
Repute AI exclusively analyzes public Telegram data. No private messages, DMs, private group chats, or personal contact lists are accessed at any point. The Telegram Login Widget is operated by Telegram, not Repute AI — your credentials are never transmitted to Repute AI servers.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Resolution |
|---|---|
| Login widget not loading | Ensure you are opening the Mini App from within Telegram, not a browser |
| Authentication fails | Check that your Telegram account is not restricted or new (< 24 hours old) |
| Dashboard shows no REP | New accounts start at REP 0. Connect a TON wallet and begin contributing to build REP. |
| Channels not appearing | Only public channels where you are owner or admin are detected. Private channels are excluded by design. |
