REP System Overview
What REP Is
REP is the internal reputation score of the Repute protocol — a composite 0–1000 score representing the credibility weight of a Telegram presence within the Repute AI ecosystem.
REP is minted as a soulbound token on the TON blockchain — non-transferable, non-tradeable, and permanently anchored to a Telegram identity. It is immutable proof of reputation, verifiable on-chain.
REP represents:
- Structural credibility of a Telegram channel or creator presence
- Behavioral track record within the Repute protocol
- Access weight for protocol features and launchpad intelligence tiers
- Governance weight for future protocol decisions (influence-weighted, not linear)
What REP Is NOT
REP is not a financial instrument.
- REP has no monetary value
- REP cannot be bought, sold, or transferred
- REP cannot be delegated to another address
- REP does not entitle the holder to any financial return
- REP is not a governance token in the traditional sense
REP is a reputation credential. It functions like a professional credential, not like an asset.
How REP Is Computed
REP emerges from the five intelligence models:
| Input | Contribution |
|---|---|
| AVI — Attention Velocity Index | Positive contribution |
| SIS — Structural Integrity Score | Positive contribution (highest weight) |
| NSM — Narrative Strength Model | Positive contribution |
| BPM — Breakout Probability Model | Positive contribution |
| TRI — Telegram Risk Index | Negative contribution (risk penalty) |
These are combined using a weighted formula and scaled to the [0, 1000] range.
Additionally, protocol participation contributes directly to REP through the four-component architecture:
- REP_Contribution
- REP_Accuracy
- REP_Integrity
- REP_Network
How REP Differs From Typical Crypto Scores
| Dimension | Typical Crypto Score | Repute REP |
|---|---|---|
| Basis | Holdings, staking, lock-up | Behavioral signal + structural analysis |
| Transferable | Often yes | Never — soulbound |
| Gameable | Yes — buy your way in | Structurally resistant — requires authentic behavior |
| On-chain | Sometimes | Always — TON blockchain |
| Decays | Rarely | Yes — inactivity reduces effective REP |
| Purpose | Token utility, governance | Protocol credibility weight |
The Soulbound Mechanic
REP is minted as a TON soulbound token. The soulbound mechanic means:
-
Identity binding: The token is permanently linked to the connected TON wallet at time of first mint. It cannot be transferred to another wallet.
-
Non-tradeable: No marketplace can list it. No contract can accept a transfer. It is structurally non-transferable at the protocol level.
-
Updatable: The score encoded in the token is updated as REP changes over time. The token ID and wallet association remain fixed; only the metadata (score value, tier, timestamp) is updated.
-
On-chain verifiability: Any TON-native application can query the REP soulbound token to verify credibility without requiring trust in a centralized data source.
